Hearing the words “you have cancer” is life changing. Over 675 Canadians are diagnosed with cancer every day, and 80% have significant physical, emotional, and financial challenges that go well beyond the important medical treatments they receive in hospital. That’s where Wellspring fits in. Wellspring is a Canada-wide network of community-based charities, offering programs and services at no charge and without referral, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. Delivering over 50 diverse and evidence-informed programs and services, this session will offer an overview and breakdown of what supports are available, how to access these programs, and how you can gain the skills & tools to help cope with a cancer diagnosis. We will also provide an overview of our Cancer Exercise programs, how these programs work, and which programs you may be eligible for depending on where you are in your cancer journey.
