Publications

The Lymphedema Association of Ontario (LAO) produces publications to raise awareness about lymphedema, encourage research, improve access to treatment, and help to build a stronger lymphedema community in Ontario and beyond.

  • Information Pamphlet: information about lymphedema and the LAO.
  • Pathways magazine: spearheaded by the Canadian Lymphedema Framework, Canada's National Lymphedema Magazine is now one of the perks of LAO membership. It is Canada’s only lymphedema magazine and addresses the need for lymphedema awareness and education among patients, those at risk and health professionals. Published four times per year, it includes articles focusing on research advances, expert opinions, and patient perspectives. We have transitioned our newsletter, Lymphedema Matters into an 8-12 page insert in the magazine which provides more local updates on LAO activities. Click the Lymphedema Matters link for a sneak preview of the insert. If you like what you see, join the LAO to receive the full magazine with insert included.
  • Lymphedema Matters Article Reprints:

Water - is it good for lymphedema?  by Dorit Tidhar (Spring/Summer 2011 issue)

  • Guidelines: to submit an article or to advertise in Lymphedema Matters.
  • Lymph Listens : a community-based report (2006) on living with lymphedema in Ontario.

About the Lymphedema Association of Ontario (LAO)

The LAO is working to improve access to quality lymphedema information, resources and services. We are striving for quality of life for people who are living with lymphedema – and knowledge of how to prevent it in people who are at risk for lymphedema.
