International efforts are underway to develop best practices and clinical guidelines for the diagnosis, assessment, treatment and ongoing care of primary and secondary lymphedema.
Since 2002 the International Lymphoedema Framework has been at the forefront of the global effort to improve clinical knowledge and awareness of lymphedema, share best practices and develop guidelines for standards of care and the management of lymphedema.
With the founding of the Canadian Lymphedema Framework in 2009, Canada has officially joined this global health movement and is helping to move lymphedema care and standards forward. Our shared goal is improved quality of care and life for people with lymphedema. Contact us, to receive updates about the Canadian Lymphedema Framework or to get involved with this initiative.
