About Us

The Lymphedema Association of Ontario (LAO) works to improve access to quality lymphedema information, resources and services.

What drives us? Improved quality of life for people who are living with lymphedema – and knowledge of how to prevent it in people who are at risk for lymphedema, mainly cancer survivors.

How will we get there?

• By raising public and medical awareness about this chronic health condition.
• By educating people at risk about its first signs and the value of early diagnosis and treatment.
• By providing access to support and credible information for people with lymphedema.
• By advocating for improved health care services and insurance coverage for lymphedema.
• By partnering with lymphedema organizations in Ontario, across Canada and around the world for better treatment and care for all.
