Your Voice Matters:

Two New Breast Cancer Surveys Now Open

We are inviting members of our community to take part in two important surveys aimed at improving breast cancer care in Canada.

Your input will help us better understand experiences with breast reconstruction and screening including access, awareness, and patient priorities across Canada. Participation is voluntary, anonymous, and will directly contribute to shaping more patient-centred care across the country.

Post-Mastectomy Reconstruction Experience in Canada

MedTech Invest and CBCN

About the survey:

Breast surgery is a key component of breast cancer treatment and management. Breast reconstruction is an optional surgery performed after a mastectomy to restore the shape of one or both breasts.

MedTechInvest Canada and the Canadian Breast Cancer Network are seeking feedback from people in Canada who have had, or are scheduled to have, a mastectomy related to breast cancer. Your responses will help improve understanding of reconstructive experiences, including nipple-areola reconstruction options, access barriers, and patient priorities.

This survey is for research and insight-gathering purposes. We may share a summary of the results of this survey (combined and anonymous) with CBCN staff, potential funders, healthcare professionals, decision makers, policy makers, community organizations, and researchers.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary, all questions are optional, and you can stop participating at any time.

Understanding Experience and Awareness of Breast Cancer Screening in Canada

Bayer and CBCN

About the survey:

Breast cancer screening in Canada is designed to find cancer early, often before any symptoms appear, when treatment is typically more effective. Breast cancer screening programs are typically for individuals who are at average risk and have no symptoms (such as a new lump, skin changes, or nipple discharge).

Bayer Canada and the Canada Breast Cancer Network are conducting this survey to better understand Canadians’ awareness of breast cancer screening, their experiences accessing screening and follow‑up care, and their understanding of factors such as breast density, risk, and available screening options.

The information collected will be used in aggregate to help identify gaps, barriers, and opportunities to improve breast cancer screening programs, patient education, and shared decision‑making across Canada.

This survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary and anonymous. You may choose not to answer any question and may stop the survey at any time.
